Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make a pick?
Open the Picks tab, navigate to the current week using the arrow buttons, and tap "Pick [Team Name]" on any game card. Your pick saves immediately. Picks are locked automatically at kickoff.
Can I change a pick after making it?
No. Once you tap a pick button, it's locked. This is by design — picks cannot be changed after submission, and are automatically locked once a game kicks off.
How are game results updated?
Game results are entered manually by any league member via the Admin Mode (Settings → tap Version 5 times). Once entered, results sync automatically to all users in real time via Firebase.
How do I create a private league?
Tap the Leagues tab → "Create a league" → enter a name. A 6-character join code is generated automatically. Share the code with your friends so they can join.
How do I join a friend's league?
Tap the Leagues tab → "Join with a code" → enter the 6-character code your friend shared with you. You'll be added to the league instantly.
My picks are not showing up in the league leaderboard.
The leaderboard only counts picks on games that have a final result entered. Pending games (no score yet) appear as "pending" and are not counted in wins or losses.
How do I change my display name?
Currently display names are set once during onboarding. If you need to change it, please contact us at the email below and we'll assist you.
The app is not showing games for a specific week.
Game schedules are updated with each app version. Make sure you have the latest version of Fourth Down installed from the App Store.
Does Fourth Down involve real money or betting?
No. Fourth Down is a free pick'em tracker for entertainment only. There is no gambling, no real money, no in-app purchases, and no links to sportsbooks.
How do I request deletion of my data?
Send an email to support@fourthdownapp.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and we will remove your account and all associated data within 30 days.
